Our camps are packed with daily animal interaction and animal related science.  Kids have opportunities to ride horses, play farm games, shear sheep, milk goats and cows, bottle feed babies, collect chicken eggs, see ducks, chickens and geese hatch, see goats, sheep, cows and horses be born.  We have camp options for all ages starting with age 4 all the way through 17.  Each Camp day has a specific science related focus.

Party Ponies and Friends and Follow the Child on the Farm is the only Farm, Science and horsemanship program taught by certified teachers and members of the American Camp Association. Our programs were recently featured on Channel 2 news as the best camp of it's kind in Alaska.

You must fill out our online waiver and registration form before attending camp.

Our Camp teachers are ready for your kids at 9:30 am.  Thank you for respecting their planning time and not arriving before that time unless prior arrangements have been made.

Hi I'm Mardena Williams  I am a retired teacher from the Anchorage School District with a firm belief in hands on interactive learning.  I taught Montessori education for over 30 years.   I started teaching the Farm Life Education program for Party Ponies and Friends in 2011.  Since then I have bought my own farm and the program has morphed into a collaboration of both Party Ponies and Friends and Follow the Child. Party Ponies and Friends still provides their animals for our education programs.  I am fortunate to now be able to use my own Farm for the location.  We are housed on one of the original Alaska Dairy Farms, in Palmer.

Please only make your selection when you are ready.  Due to the limited space in each camp week we can not offer refunds once you have purchased your week at camp.  We ask families to be honest and ethical and understand that once you have chosen to attend camp we are relying on that income to feed our family of both people and critters.  If you are unsure about attending camp please make your other scheduling arrangements first before scheduling with us. Once we have reserved your child's spot at camp we we are not taking another student outside our capacity rules and therefore can not offer refunds.  If you have a covid related reason for not attending please see our covid response policy.  In extreme circumstances related to hospitalization a partial refund minus $160 deposit may be issued , if another student is able to register for the spot you have reserved and we have reached the capacity of 12 students.  If no other student registers for your camp week you are responsible for the full tuition.  If you have a covid related reason for not attending please see our covid response policy below.

Covid Policy: We have modeled our covid response and policy after the matsu School District. In the event that your camp week must close due to a covid related restriction or exposure all safety protocols and notifications will be followed. Your tuition will be applied to the next safe and available camp date that meets your schedule. Or you can apply the tuition to any of our party packages.

** We are unable to refund processing fees that are a result of an error made by the registering party. If some one else is supposed to pay for your 2 hour session with us or your full week please check with them before you choose to pay. If we receive 2 payments for the same camper we will refund the second payee minus the credit card processing fees.  For a full week of camp this is roughly $15 and for a 2 hour session this is about $3.  These are fees that are retained by Paypal when we issue a charge back.
