Each week will focus on a specific horse topic.

Week one: Foal growth and development.  Daily interaction with our now yearling horses. Take part in Parelli, and t touch inspired training and cart training

 

Week 2: Horse hooves and Skeletal Structure.  This week we will have a farrier visit and talk about horse hoof health and trim feet.  Students will draw bones onto real horses. 

 

Week 3 Teeth and digestive systems. Why we float teeth and what does that mean. This week will possibly have a field trip to our vet where students will get to see inside the horses mouth and see the teeth floated.  If the vet visit is not able to occur a separate super cool activity will be planned.

 

Week 4 muscles and the nervous system.  Various games will be played using both real horses and other diagrams.

 

Supporting Art activites will include using horse hair to make bracelets , picking your favorite horse and making a stepping stone with their hoof print, making your own lead rope.
